I might own about 1000 45s from the 50s & 60s, but this record is the only one I genuinely have no information on. Its not listed in the Rockin' Records price guide, and google brings up nothing (apart from my playlists and the seller from whom I originally bought the thing!).
It's on the Josan label, and its a H. B. Barnum song and production.
But most importantly of all, it rocks! A tittyshaker extraordinaire IMHO.

sounds as good as I remembered it from the Beatrocket.
must have been inspired by the trashmen, such as a killer, want to trade it for a copy of shawnee by the premiers?

I'd rather trade my kidney than lose this record! I don't have the finances to have many 'proper' rarities so until I discover this isn't actually very rare/get bored of it it's staying very much in my record box. Nice try though

Re: Louie And The Fat Men - Fat Man
listening to this record (repeatedly!) has got me thinking. does anyone have AH SO, by the gaylads on 45? the a side of the record is a song called POPEYE - THE SAILOR MAN. it starts off with the familiar popeye theme, then gets going good with some nice sax, etc.
then a deep voice saying "i'm popeye....the sailor MAN!" the voice sounds pretty similar to the "fat man" squawks on the louie 45...wonder if they're the same guy? the gay lads 45 is an aki aleong production....
this further got me to thinking about songs that have "deep voice" interjections in the middle of songs ala TRASHCAN on the las vegas grind comps.
anyone got any other songs like that?
chuck rio's margarita comes to mind...
